Ngöndro practice among Western householders

Projected timeline April 2016-September 2016

Outcome: a report in white paper style

As Tibetan Buddhism is taking root in the West, practitioners must pursue their practice within the context of modern life. Accomplishing ngöndro is a critical practice for higher teachings in many lineages. But doing so while maintaining job and other social responsibilities is a major challenge. This project aims to take stock on the experiences and adaptions of that undertaking.

The first part of this independent research consists of a survey, which can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ngondro_survey

This survey will be followed up by the conducting of interviews with selected practitioners. Anyone who is living in a modern life style setting, and who is doing ngöndro is welcome to fill out the survey.
